The Iron Ladies Soccer Club are once again proving that their strength extends beyond the football pitch — this time by stepping up for Mother Nature.
As part of their community outreach and environmental responsibility initiative, the team will host a Tree-Planting Event at Vuyika Primary School on Thursday, 6th November 2025, starting at 4:00 PM.
Under the theme “The Earth is a Legacy for Our Future Generations — Let’s Protect It Together,” the Iron Ladies are calling upon their fans, supporters, and the wider Kakamega community to join hands in nurturing the environment through tree planting.
“Football gives us a platform to inspire change, and what better way to do that than by protecting our environment for the future?” — Team Manager Jeff Mudembei.
The event, dubbed The Iron Ladies Environment Day, emphasizes the team’s growing role not only as athletes but as community leaders and environmental ambassadors. It’s an invitation to every fan to be part of something meaningful and lasting.
Supporters are encouraged to attend wearing their Iron Ladies jerseys as a sign of unity and pride. Together, we can make the world greener — one tree at a time! 🌍💚
